African/Caribbean Health professional COVID-19 protocol consultation

Updated: Oct 13, 2021

AFRICAN/CARIBBEAN COVID CONSULTATION & RECOMMENDATIONS

The British African/Caribbean population remain fragmented based on a lack of institutional representation as so-called guests to a host nation where we as tax payers don't receive proportional or effective representation. We number around 3 million of the national population, which converts to around roughly 4.5% according to the National Office for Statistics (based on the 2011 national census).

There are major changes taking place in Britain regarding Brexit, which are now further impacted by the new COVID-19 legislation protocols. National statistics report that the African/Caribbean population has been more harshly hit by fatalities than should statistically fit our numbers in the UK.

ADPAC Executive and project management structure

From the beginning of the outbreak and first lockdown in March there has been an exorbitant amount of conflicting reporting from both government and national media. It is important from hereon in that we establish a scientific position of clarity as the African/Caribbean population of the United Kingdom.

We are putting together a small consortium of expertise who span NHS consultants, senior nurses, social services, doctors and alternative health practitioners. The role of this consortium is to ascertain a formal position that represents the best health and wellbeing interests of the British African/Caribbean population with regards to COVID-19 and the national health guidelines.

This will be accomplished by Zoom conferences where solutions and opinions based on expertise are explored to achieve consensus in different areas for a report with recommendations, accompanied by a one hour show that summarises the report (hearing from different professiona expertise) to deliver a conclusive position that African/Caribbean people can rely on and follow with clarity.

We are seeking the collaboration of doctors, senior nurses, NHS consultents, social workers and alternative health practitioners. Organisations connect with ADPAC by clicking here: Connect
